WHY MALTA?

Malta is a Mediterranean country on Europe's southern fringe and one of the European Union's new members. The country can be seen as a stepping stone to and from Europe and North Africa not only thanks to the island's strategic location, but also because of the strong trading  traditions of the Maltese and their ability to integrate different cultures.
Having been under Arab rule and more recently a British Colony, the distinctive marks of the different cultures are imprinted in the Maltese way of life. The Maltese are therefore highly skilled and knowledgeable Europeans with a strong Mediterranean mentality and an innate understanding of the Arab way of conducting business.

Malta may be considered a fairly advanced nation, with its industrial base concentrating primarily on manufacturing for export. Main export markets for Malta are the European Union, accounting for around 50% of total exports, Asia and North America.
In spite of the small size of the country and a population of around 400,000 Malta boasts one of the highest exports per capita in the world.

Using Malta as a marketing base makes a lot of business sense. The market itself, being a developed, small and measurable one, can be used for market reaserch and new product test launches whereby the probability of success of a particular product could be properly assessed.
Furthermore, Maltese export marketing experts could be utilised to penetrate markets which are nearer to Malta, than to your home country, both physically and even more culturally; all at a fraction of the costs required by general European standards for a similar service.
